The Ares Amoeba CCC is an M4 that’s built to be carried all day without wearing you out. Its nylon fibre upper and lower receivers keep the weight right down, the CNC aluminium handguard gives you two Picatinny rails and two hand stops, and there’s a full top rail for an optic plus an extendable stock so you can set it up just how you like it.

The clever part is inside. Ares’s Electronic Firing Control System puts a MOSFET straight into the gearbox at the factory, so you get a crisp, fast trigger, a gear sensor that parks the piston forward to ease the spring and save your battery, and protection that cuts the power if the gearbox ever locks. The fire modes can be reprogrammed, and with a 6.03 brass inner barrel, adjustable hop-up and a quick spring release, it’s a rifle you’ll keep enjoying long after your first game.

We’ve matched it with a spare 300-round Amoeba mag, a 1100mAh 7.4V Big Foot LiPo, a Duel Code B3 Pro balance charger, 4,000 Bushido Master Grade 0.20g BBs and a pair of Big Foot clear-lens glasses in OD. Charge the LiPo, load your mags and you’re ready for your first game. It’s a properly matched setup at a price that’s hard to beat.
