How we collect information

As a data Controller and Processor we will collect information from you if you:

Security

At Defcon Airsoft we take security very seriously, and we extend every possible avenue to protect your information. Our website is hosted on Triple-redundant 100% NVMe SSD-based Onyx servers with 1,000Gbps of DDoS protection and hardware firewalling which are protected by the latest Security Software and Encryption Techniques to secure sensitive data. Our website is also SHA256 SSL Encrypted, which encrypts data sent between your Home Computer and our Server and back for extra levels of security. SHA256 SSL is a 256-bit encryption technology which keeps your data in an unreadable format and can only be decoded with a special key phrase, and is used by some of the biggest companies around the world.

You can check at any time if your connection is secured if you see a Green Key at the left of the website URL.

Passwords are also stored encrypted, salted and hashed for extra levels of security. If we have given you (or you have chosen) a password to access certain areas of our website, product or services please keep it safe – we will not share this password with anyone.

Other Sites

If you follow a link from our website, from any Blog Post, Product, or site Service this policy will no longer apply. We are not responsible for the information handling processes of other third party sites or services, and we encourage you to read the privacy policies appearing on those sites and services.

Through the use of our website we will also store Personal Data, which can be attributed to a specific Person. This data is typically stored as part of an Order and will only be used in-house by our Staff as part of the Order Process, and is retained to facilitate this.

Courier and Shipping Information

As part of the order process we will need to share details of delivery with our Courier Services. This will typically include, but is not limited to:

  • Your Contact Phone Number
  • Your Contact Email Address

This information will be shared with our chosen courier service, and may be displayed on the produced label on the outside of the parcel, and is required as part of the process.

Inside the parcel we may also include an invoice, which will also detail your order and order value, but will never display and information relating to Payment Method or Payment Information.

Depending on your location and local laws we may need to include other identifiable information, or provide copies of your invoice which are accessible from the outside of the parcel. This is usually the case with EU and Export Orders, so please be aware it may be easy to access the invoice. Please always check with local laws before ordering.

The current courier service is subject to change, due to restrictions on certain products, however you will have the option to select your service as part of the Checkout / Basket Process.

Payment Information

When placing an order with us we will need to submit a minimum amount of information depending on the type of transaction you wish to make with us. We will not store your full payment information on our system, or retain full payment details such as your Fully Card Number, and Card Security Code.

By placing an order through our website you agree that Order Data will be shared with our 3rd party payment providers, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Your Name
  • Your Address
  • Your Payment Details
  • Your Card Information
  • Your Bank Account Information

When making a payment through the system we will only send the required amount of information, such as the value of the order and payment method, but we not send the items listed on the order.

When making an order through our website Basic Payment information (Such as Payment Method, and last four Card Digits) will be stored on our Web Servers, and Internal Systems for order tracking purposes, such as how you paid, through which service, and the last four digits of your card if applicable.

Payl8r Finance

If you chose to pay for your order with Finance you will be asked to submit detailed financial information to Social Money Ltd, a UK Based Financial Lender.

In addition to your contact details they may as you other important questions related to your financial history, such as but not limited to:

  • Any other Loads / Mortgages or Existing Finances you currently have
  • Average Income
  • Family Details

This service is organised, maintained, and provided by Social Money Ltd trading as Payl8r Finance, and is done through their own secure web-portal window which will open up in a separate window to our website. Should a Finance application be successful we will be sent a confirmation code which will allow us to complete the order.

At no point will we have access to, or be able to see the additional financial questions you were asked, or how you answered.

We will only provide them with the Value of your order, and they will return the amount paid through finance and a transaction number.

In order to be able to offer you Klarna’s payment options, we will pass to Klarna certain aspects of your personal information, such as contact and order details, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment options and to tailor the payment options for you.

Phone Payments

If you elect to modify an order, or make a payment over the phone we will need to take additional information from you to enable us to take payment. We will not store your full payment information on our system, or retain full payment details such as your Fully Card Number, and Card Security Code.

Your data will not be written down, or stored on our system, but will used only at the time of ordering through our 3rd Party Provider, which is typed into the Payment Gateway integrated into our till systems.

If you decide to contact with us via Email please note that the email can be stored for anywhere between 6 months to 1 Year(s).

We will not ask for any Personal Details, Passwords, or Payment Information via E-Mail.
