Description
The LAYLAX Prometheus EG barrel is a 275.5mm stainless steel tightbore intended for the Tokyo Marui HK416D Next Generation Recoil Shock. Its 6.03mm bore is designed to concentrate the air volume directly behind the BB, which the manufacturer links to improved compression efficiency, higher muzzle velocity and tighter shot groupings at range.
The barrel is CNC-machined with a mirror-polished internal bore and a squared muzzle crown, so the BB has a clean, stable path as it exits. Stainless steel construction is chosen to withstand the vibration and mechanical stress that the NGRS recoil system puts through the gearbox. Standard brass barrels can oxidise internally and show small concentricity differences over time; this one is made to avoid those issues.
