Description
The LAYLAX Prometheus EG Barrel is a 295mm inner barrel for the SIG AIR Proforce MCX Virtus SBR AEG. It uses a 6.03mm tightbore diameter, which is intended to improve air compression behind the BB and reduce the air loss associated with wider factory bores. Standard inner barrels can have internal surface imperfections and a wider bore, allowing compressed air to bypass the BB. The tighter bore is designed to support a flatter long-range flight path, helping to limit velocity variation and produce more consistent shot groupings.
CNC-machined from high-tensile stainless steel, the barrel is made to resist flex and withstand vibration from high-cycle gearboxes. Its internal bore is mirror-polished, and the muzzle crown is concentric to support even air dispersion as the BB exits. The rigid structure is intended to limit barrel whip under use.
