Description
The Colt Combat Unit 1911 is a gas blowback airsoft pistol built under licence by EMG and Army Armament as the R48. It reflects Colt’s modern duty-oriented 1911 configuration, using a metal slide and frame, a tactical finish and wide-profile cocking serrations at both the front and rear of the slide.
The R48 has an updated internal gas route and a high-flow metal single-stack magazine, both intended to support consistent gas distribution and stable thermal behaviour through longer strings of fire. The pistol is a single-stack gas blowback design, and the metal magazine is intended to help maintain gas delivery. Textured grip panels, low-profile Novak-style sights and a 20mm under-barrel rail for accessories complete the layout. The model is produced through an official licensing collaboration between Colt, EMG and Army Armament.
