The M16® design by custom knife manufacturer Kit Carson is well-known and available in numerous CRKT® production variants. However, Kit’s classic M4 has been his best-selling bespoke model since 1990.

The most recent M4-02M model has a distinctive satin-finish blade and a white micarta handle with black G10 bolsters. It’s not just a gorgeous M4; it’s also among the finest folding knives available.

As CRKT was designing it, they made the decision to increase value by including the Outburst® aided opening. When you open the blade to about a 30 degree angle, the Outburst mechanism instantly allows the blade to open.

The M4 variants contain bronze bearings, lubricous washers, and twin thumb studs for ambidextrous one-handed opening, smooth, quick operation.

The 3.25″ blade has a Razor-Sharp edge and is made of quality 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a high-hollow grind and bead-blast finish. The robust InterFrame body, which has two locking stainless steel liners and a stainless steel back spacer, is faithful to Kit’s ingenuity.

All of the M4 models have high-mounted pocket/gear clips.
