The Ladybird is a tried-and-true bestseller and the Spyderco family’s tiniest locking folder.

This Ladybird 3 model has a Hawkbill blade made of H-1 steel. The Salt Series of H-1 knives is a line of water-friendly folders and fixed blades. The Ladybird 3 Salt Hawkbill from this series employs H-1, a blade alloy made of nitrogen rather than carbon.

Steel becomes exceptionally corrosion-resistant as a result of the removal of carbon from the material. The hawkbill blade wraps around the object you’re cutting, acting as an extended cat’s claw to drag it in closer and keep it in constant touch with the cutting edge.

The curved hook also prevents material from slipping off or away from the blade. The SpyderEdge H-1 hollow ground blade has a configuration. Its Bi-Directional Texturing-molded, slip-resistant, and highly visible Marine Yellow FRN (fibreglass reinforced nylon) handle makes it easy to spot on land or in water.

The Ladybird Hawkbill Salt lacks a clip and has a hole for a lanyard that may be threaded through a thong or keychain.
