Description
The GUARDER Tune-Up Spring SP140 (SP-140) is a replacement main spring for Tokyo Marui AEG rifles and submachine guns. It is not intended for the Tokyo Marui PSG-1, so confirm your model before ordering.
The spring is wound from silicon-chrome alloy steel wire which has been oil quenched and tempered. The finished weight is given as 14 g. SP140 is the model marking and SP-140 the part reference used in the catalogue.
Inside the gearbox the spring fits over the spring guide behind the piston and is compressed as the sector gear draws the piston back. Replacing it therefore means stripping the gearbox rather than removing a part from outside the receiver. Check that your spring guide and gearbox take a Tokyo Marui pattern spring before you start the rebuild.
