The SniperMechanic Tac-41 W.A.S.P (Weight Adjustable Sniper Piston) is the original weight-adjustable piston system, redesigned with improved materials and refined engineering to deliver smoother cycling, tunable performance and reliable consistency for the Silverback TAC-41 sniper rifle. By allowing users to alter piston weight and airbrake configuration, the W.A.S.P enables precise optimisation for a wide range of spring strengths, power levels and build requirements.
Engineered for serious TAC-41 upgrades, the SniperMechanic W.A.S.P combines modular construction with a durable stainless steel spring guide and precision guide rings. Consequently, piston travel remains stable whilst reducing vibration, improving efficiency and helping produce a more controlled firing cycle across compatible setups.

Installation Notes
The SniperMechanic Tac-41 W.A.S.P is compatible with most 13 mm sniper springs, although certain lower-powered Silverback SBA springs may not conform to the same dimensions and could bind. Correct lubrication of the piston cup is recommended, whilst pre-compressing the piston before tightening the stock cylinder head helps prevent damage to the sealing cup during installation.
Airbrake performance depends on the overall rifle configuration, since increasing piston energy eventually reduces the effectiveness of airbraking at higher power levels. Even without the airbrake installed, the revised guide ring and piston cup design help maintain a controlled and comparatively quiet firing cycle, including high-powered builds approaching 4.5 Joules.
