The 98 Karabiner Kurz is the Carbine version of the World War I Gewehr 98, Kurz is German for short, more commonly known as the Kar98K, this legendary bolt gun was originally fielded by German forces in World War 2, even though this rifle was designed in 1935, you can still see some Kar98K in action by Honor Guards as well as partisan fighters in third world countries to this day because of the reliability and accuracy of these rifles.
The ARES Kar98K is an exact reproduction of this renowned rifle, complete with a ZF 39 type sight. Not only are the gun’s metal parts 95% stainless steel, but it also has a beautiful laminated wood stock that gives it a very robust feel, like a true historical rifle. The ARES Kar98K, like the original steel gun, has a smooth action, which this gun was widely known for.
Unlike most ARES spring bolt action guns, the Kar98K has a direct BB feeding system, akin to the Amoeba STRIKER series, to improve even the internal action. The gun comes with a 20-round magazine, and the entire item is nicely packaged in a hard plastic gun box.
